Hon. Onofiok Luke has challenged young Nigerians not to allow anyone tell them it is not possible to achieve their dreams and aspirations in Nigeria . “if we don’t challenge the system, we are not going to get to where we want to” he said.
The member representing Etinan/ Nsit Ibom / Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency stated this at the 2019 DARE Conference organized by YouthHubAfrica with the theme: Leverage at the Shehu Musa YarAdua Centre in Abuja on Friday 11 October 2019 where he was a Guest Speaker.
The Determined Aspire Re-imagine and Express , DARE Conference brought together 500 young Africans to discuss and benefit from the practical experience of other youth speakers who shared personal life experiences, success stories as well as their vision regarding the future of their country.
Hon. Luke charged the youth to come into the political space to change the narrative. He said , If we get our acts right , we have everything to believe what we need for Nigeria and for young Nigerians” . The Federal lawmaker added that the youth have to move beyond their challenges.
He cautioned that young people should not only seek political office but develop content , so that when given the stage to deliver, they will not be found wanting. He stressed the need for individuals to be persons of conviction. He said it can make you do what is right.
“What I want to urge you young people of Nigeria, let us stand up, put our hands together and get this country to be a better place” he concluded.
