The willingness of Akwa Ibom State indigenes to follow Governor Udom Emmanuel industrial revolution was demonstrated yesterday by organisers of BLOW Business Summit. The Creative Director Nsikan Essien Netima told journalist that BLOW Business Summit is designed to promote Creativity, People and funding for Entrepreneurship. “This is what I’ve been preaching, what we teach in the BLOW Business community is how to respond to opportunities, funding opportunity that is open across the world to fund your ideas. Speaking to expecting young entrepreneurs at the Summit, the financial brand guru and current Commissioner Ministry of Information Hon. Charles Udoh charged the young people to stop being applicants but employers of labor. He called for them to develop thick skin as entrepreneurs to take advantage as suppliers, service providers or distributors in the 18 industries developed in the State.
“We’re moving in the final direction of Ibom deep seaport. There’s something for everyone in that project. So you need to be prepared we are in the final stage of documentations”
Fielding questions from news men on readiness of the government to train indigenous manpower before project commencements. Mr Udoh claimed that is is not government responsibility to train everyone but create opportunity.
Also expressing his opinion at the Business Summit, Secretary to State Government, Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem confirmed BLOW Business Summit as timely creativity, “The future is for those who created it. I’m opposed to those who discriminate women. Quality knows no gender like racism its byproduct is prejudice. The society loses when we discriminate. But I assure you the governor will hear about BLOW Business community as a knowledge platform to boost economic well being, and a powerful tool to develop productivity. I’ll tell the governor Blow platform is a tool for achieving your economic vision.”
