In what appeared to be a convention of all political parties, Abiakpo Nkap witnessed Monmouth crowd of friends and well wishers of The former Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom state and Distinguished Senator from far and near who came to witness as he laid to rest the remains of his late wife, Dr Grace Christopher Ekpenyong (1955-2019) at his country home, Obot Akara.
The burial mass was conducted by the Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish, Abiakpo Nkap, Nto Edino, Obot Akara Local Government Area by Rev. Fr. Sebastian Ekaidem.

The Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Deacon Udom Emmanuel and Wife Deaconess Martha Emmanuel, Deputy Governor, Mr Moses Ekpo led the Executive council to the event.
The National leadership of the PDP led by the National Legal adviser, Barr Emmanuel Enoidem and the State party chairman, Obong Paul Politics Ekpo led the party structure to the event.

Prayers were offered to the bereaved family and repose for the soul of the departed to continuously rest in peace by the Priest.
