A philanthropist, Miss Ndifreke Ajie Francis, has rewarded Ward Woman Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Itu Local Government Area with various gift items. She charged the women to be of good conduct, maintaining that the empowerment packages of the Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration that await them are sufficient.
Miss Francis, who is the Investor Relations Officer in the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) office, gave the charge on Tuesday at the Party Secretariat during the presentation of reward packages to the Ward Woman Leaders across the 10 Wards of Itu Local Government Area.
Addressing the women, Miss Francis thanked them for their noble decisions to stand by Governor Udom Emmanuel and PDP in the forthcoming elections, stressing that she will continue to support the women and contribute her quota to the development and progress of Akwa Ibom State.
“I have heard of the good work that you have been doing in spreading the message of good governance brought about by this administration. So, I have come to thank you for standing by the Governor and the PDP with this token,” she said.
This gesture has become a routine for Miss Francis, who has been empowering women across the state, empowering each of the 10 PDP Ward Chairmen in Itu as well as members of the Salvation Ministry Church in Itu.
In their separate remarks, the State Secretary of PDP; Hon Harrison Ekpo and the Ward Chairman of Ward-6, Mr. Udeme Ukutt, described Miss Francis as a woman of substance and one with the medas-touch, maintaining that her actions have shown that she has the people of the area at heart.
They urged Miss Francis to keep the flag of her philanthropy flying, adding that her commitment to the Udom Emmanuel’s administration was commendable.
Others who spoke at the event were Ward-6 and Ward-7 Woman Leaders, Mrs. Uduak Bassey Nyah and Mfoniso Vincent Akpan.
