Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, has eulogized the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Obong Paul Ekpo, describing him as a leader with difference.
Governor Emmanuel made this known on Sunday during a Thanksgiving Service at the instance of Obong Ekpo, who is also Chairman of PDP State Chairmen in Nigeria, at the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), Nkana, Etinan Local Government Area.
Speaking, the State Governor lauded the exemplary leadership style of the State PDP Chairman, saying that he has proven to be guided by the words of God through the scriptures.
He thanked Obong Ekpo for always seeking the face of God in his activities as the Chairman of the party and for thanking God for His mercies, grace, favour, and blessings upon his life and that of his entire family, and also urged him to do more for God as He is the author of every good thing.
Earlier in his remarks, Obong Ekpo said he was highly indebted to the invaluable benevolence of God in his life, considering his past, present and the future, maintaining that he will continue to do his best in his bid to appreciate God for his goodness and unmerited favour.
Ekpo thanked the Governor Emmanuel, his wife, Martha Udom, the Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Barrister Onofiok Luke, members of the state and national legislature, Commissioners, Party Leaders, Chairmen of Local Government Councils and all other leaders in the state for the honour done him.
The event, which coincided with the June edition of the monthly Youth Prays Conference, organized by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Matters, Comrade Aniefiok Iwaudofia, featured praise and worship, homily, prayers and special thanksgiving by the family of Obong Paul Ekpo.
Akwa Ibom Youth Prays Conference is an initiative of Comrade Iwaudofia in line with the #Dakkada philosophy of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
