The Transition chairman of Eket Local Government Hon. Frank Archibong had yesterday stated that the people and the youths of Eket Senatorial District will never allowed themselves to be a second fiddle as 2019 approaches.
The chairman dropped the hint during a one day youth prayer conference organised by the Special Assistant to the governor on youth matters Mr. Aniefiok Iwaudofia in partnership with the youths and clergymen. the event which is a monthly spiritual circle which brings the youth together for the purpose of praying for the success and continuity of His Excellency Udom Emmanuel paraded dignitaries across the state.
Notable among the were the SA youth, Mr. Aniefiok Iwaudofia; SA Branding and marketing, Hon. Ime Uwah; SA legal matters & Documentations, Barr Andem Andem; Eket PDP chapter chairman, Hon. Essien Nduese; SA media, Obong Iwaad Emmanuel Mbong, Hon. Johnson Benjamin Udobia; SA project monitoring.
Others are Usoro I. Usoro; former Chief Press Secretary/Senior Special Assistant on Print Media Research & Documentation to former governor Chief G.O.Akpabio; Hon. Moses Armstrong; SA on Agriculture, Hon. Etimfon Patrick a Edoho; SA project Monitoring, Bishop Godwin Nduaesa; Eket Youth council chairman, Comrade Edima Martins; International president of Akwa Ibom Grassroots Movement For Good Governance (AK-GRAMOV), and many other youth groups, women and students bodies.
Hon. Frank Archibong who also doubles as the State ALGON chairman while addressing the press at his Eket residence commended the governor to have considered the youths actively engaged and participatory in the governance of the State; The chairman who confessed that the minds of many youths has been positively liberated and impacted through the dakkaakda philosophy reiterated the youths earlier position that there is no alternative option by the youths to give their mandate to another candidate to replace Governor Udom Emmanuel come 2019;
“let me announce again here that our resolved to buy His Excellency the 2019 nomination form remains our avowed intent, and we will not allowed ourselves to be cowed or deterred whatsoever antics as will certainly arise; the youths today are very comfortable with Udom Emmanuel continuity project and this is as a result of the positive impacts this government have recorded within the short term in office despite lack of fund”.
Nevertheless, ” pls permit me to use this medium to attract the attention of His Excellency the governor on the deplorable road linking the prestigious indigenous Heritage Polytechnic, Ikot Udota in Eket for consideration in next years budget to enable both students and residents a smooth and serene road network” he added.
